In My Own Words:
My husband calls me the Hobbitbotherer. It was coined by my husband John when I was going through a very Lord of the Rings phase. Reading the books, watching the films (over and over again!) and finding out what other films the actors were in! We had always thought of one day going to New Zealand and having seen some of the wonderful scenery in the films, it made us want to visit even more and we … Read more

Depressed and disillusioned after breaking up with his boyfriend, Lewis is unsure what he really wants to do with his life. His lectures hold little interest to him anymore and all his friends seem vain and shallow. Surely there's more to life than this?

Meeting a homeless woman called Rosie, she points him in the direction of Revitalize, a group that offers a free meal to those down on their luck every Saturday. Lewis turns up and finds he really likes helping people and wishes he could do more. It's winter and snowing, and most of the people are out on the streets without even a blanket or sleeping bag.

The battery life is very good and the… Read more

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
From the blurb, this film sounded so much better than it actually was. A crime thriller it says, but there were few thrills in this. Everything was so grim and depressing, unrelenting angst that didn't get any light relief at all. The actors all seemed to mumble their lines and I was pushing the volume up and down to try and hear what was being said.

The very first scene at the drive-in was just awful and if I'd seen that in the cinema I would have been very tempted to walk out. There was nothing happy about this film at all. Christian Bale's character was the most sympathetic of the bunch. His brother, Rodney had just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq, he had a gambling… Read more
