2.0 out of 5 stars Fiddly and infuriating, 29 Dec 2013
First of all, access to the battery compartment on these is via and action-man sized screwdriver that ships with the devices and corresponding screw. Incredibly fiddly and, if you lose the screwdriver, well… that's it. You've had it. Another annoyance is that when it's in my pocket it keeps emitting the same four-note tone at seemingly random intervals. Also, the proximity alarm Will sometimes go off when my iPhone is in a pocket in the same pair of jeans as this piece of tat, which draws some puzzled glances from passers-by. It does work, in as much as it enables me to find my keyring using my iPhone, but its other drawbacks mean that I couldn't possibly recommend it, especially not at its… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Impressed..., 19 July 2012
Was a little concerned, buying a 'no-name' product, but this worked flawlessly out of the box (although it did need charging before it could be used). My iPad found it and paired with it no problem. The cover snaps into the closed position very easily, and you hear the reassuring 'click' as the iPad goes to sleep. My only gripe is that the clips that hold the iPad upright look a little flimsy, and if they snap, there'll be no repairing them.
Other than that, the product works and looks great and at fourteen quid it's an absolute steal. Using this and Office2 HD, My iPad is now a fully-fledged laptop replacement. Brilliant!!!

I installed this in my first-gen (Core Duo) MacBook Pro after Carbon Copy Cloning the old HD (Snow Leopard 10.6.8) onto it. I wasn't expecting too much at first, because the drive has to 'learn' which files you use most frequently, but right from the start, the difference was readily apparent, particularly with app launches and Open/Save dialogs. SketchUp used to take 10-15 secs to open, now 2-3. Photoshop, 15-25 seconds, now opens in 5. Most O/S dialogs appear almost instantly (I've even stopped using Open Recent..., just for the novelty value!) Files also open much quicker, similar difference to app launching speeds. How much is due to the SSD and how much to the increased spindle speed,… Read more
