Embrace last effort wasn't bad. Amongst all the out of tune howling vocals, there were some top tunes. This is in a different league though. Every track would be worthy of any indie rock album, and there is a sufficient drift in style throughout the album to keep it well away from any repetition. Danny McNamara's vocals have improved since the 'Good Will Out' but do still occassionally strain. However unlike many of the 'Good Will Out' tracks, this does very little to lessen the integrity of the songs. An absolute must album, easily the best release this year. In fact definitely the best release since 'The Man Who'. Time will tell if it is actually better.
