3.0 out of 5 stars Retapping a classis..., 30 Jun 2007
I think by now we can all agree what a great game RE4 is. Personally, i've always felt it got more credit than it deserved but it was a great game all the same, mainly due to it's admission that Silent Hill was doing everything right and they needed to blatantly rip them off.

This version, while a good concept, makes the game play at times tedious and awkward. It feels more like some random arcade game rather than tense thriller it should be.

In conclusion, don't waste your money, particularly if you already own the brilliant (and rare) Gamecube version of the game.

I can't really give effective ratings, given that i've never played the game before but I will express my excitement and enthusiasm for a game that I have so desperately… Read more

What a truly magnificent game.
Everything from the concept right down to the execution is purely and utterly orignal. A concept that is completely dead in video gaming today - ORIGINALITY.
If you enjoy movies, and you are an apt gamer then pick this up. You won't be disapointed.
The storyline is compelling and involving, the controls are UNIQUE (another word game developers fear), the character development is very well executed and the overall feel of the game is unsettling but also comforting as you are absorbed into the lives of the main characters (all of which you are alble to control at most points during the game).
I am aware it is a very grand statement but… Read more
