Not very impressive: By and large it's a collection of fairly obvious tips for contributors to the kind of magazines that make Readers Digest look like great literature.

As others have noted, this set comprises the whole of the eight LPs that were released originally on the Capitol label between 1956 and 1960. This includes what are probably the brothers' two finest collections. These are 'Tragic Songs of Life' (from 1956) and the wonderfully weird 'Satan is Real' (1960) which was issued originally with one of the most distinctive album covers ever (not in this compilation sadly).

The sound quality is good but otherwise the package is sparse (no liner notes or composer credits). That said, the price is very competitive for the quantity of music - and what music it is!

This is a feelgood good read. Mr Ilgunas is engaging and admirably determined and I really enjoyed his account of how he got out of debt and stayed that way. I wonder what he'll do next and whether his self-denial was really that good for him or the planet.
