5.0 out of 5 stars Classic Springsteen, 17 Sep 2007
This is a great album and a definite grower. I'd agree that it does have a feel of encompassing most aspects of his career with songs that could have been on The Rising (You'll be Coming Down), Born in the USA (Living In The Future) The River (Gypsy Biker) etc, but they are great songs and real growers with Devils Arcade the standout, a stone cold Bruce classic for me.
With rock icons like the Stones or Paul McCartney et al always having their new album touted as "back to their best" or some such phrase, Bruce has rarely strayed too far from his best and Magic is right up there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply wonderful, 19 Nov 2004
Yes Minister may not have quite scaled the heights of say "The Germans" episode of Fawlty Towers, or one or two Black Adder episodes but for pure consistent brilliance it's the best comedy of the lot, with every episode maintaing a blisteringly high quality. I assume this is the same as the Region 1 release and if so it's an abolute steal at any price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little player, 29 Nov 2003
I bought this as a second player to an Arcam DV88 and it compares very favourably too that player. I tend to throw everything at it, SVCD, DVD+R, DVD+RW, MP3 etc and it plays them all pretty well although it doesn't list the tracks on MP3 disks and the sync is out on SVCD (these tend to be on CDRW though which the manual doesn't recommend).
All in all an extremely nice player and excellent value.
