What a great book. Easy to read and so enjoyable. Although the author did not go too much into the gruesome details of some of the rescues (and then again this wasn't the place for these kind of home truths anyway) it still gives you an insight into the daily life of people dedicating their life to the often thankless and heartbreaking job of rescuing dogs. Well worth a read and might get some people thinking before they head off to the pet shop to buy their next dog. Don't shop, adopt instead
Breaking Dawn Special Edition (Twilight Saga) (The&hellip by Stephenie Meyer
Well I had obviously read the first 3 books and especially enjoyed Twilight and Eclipse and I was almost scared to read the last one as I had heard so many negative things about it. Well it's not that bad. Maybe it's not what a lot of people wanted but so what? yes, Bella gets all that she wants and so, who said there could be no happy ending in the Vampire world? And yes, so do Edward and even Jacob. A lot of the critics said that the 4th book was too far fetched... HELLO!!!!! the whole saga is far fetched, that's what books are all about aren't they? Who wants to read about your boring little life going to work, stuck in traffic, cook dinner, clean the dishes and do the laundry. Read this… Read more

I received this book as a gift and although I had read and enjoyed other books by this author, I thought to myself, "what would he know about dogs anyway". I'm a dog lover of course and have read many books on the subject but this one is special, I couldn't put it down and read it in less than 24 hours.
The beauty of this book is that yes, he does talk about things Trixie used to do, but he mostly concentrates on the relationship between dog and human and his use of English is amazing. This is the book that every owner would love to write in tribute to their dogs. You will love it.
