A very innocent introduction to JK Rowling's fantasy wizarding world of magic, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone remains faithful to the critically acclaimed children's novel.

The film follows the famous orphan Harry Potter as he is invited to attend Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger attempt to unravel the mystery of the Philosopher's Stone.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second film in the Harry Potter film franchise and the final instalment from Chris Columbus, it's similar to The Philosopher's Stone, you can expect much of the same magic but this time there's no need for introductions and just gets straight to it with more confidence.

Harry is warned not to return to Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry by Dobby, a house-elf, after a troubled start he manages to return there anyway despite the warning.

Kiki's Delivery Service is another of my favourite Studio Ghibli films, it was written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki and based on a Japanese children's novel with the same name, it's best described as a coming of age story.
One of Studio Ghibli's earlier productions, Miyazaki wasn't originally to be involved in either writing or directing this film but circumstances made it so.

Kiki is a 13 year-old witch living in a small village with her parents, an old witch tradition says that once a witch girl turns 13, she must leave home and train in a specific magic skill, establishing herself as a full witch.
