Hooping DVD ~ Peachysteve
Hooping DVD ~ Peachysteve
I've had a couple of brief goes at hooping beforeÖ so not a 100% newbie, but near as dammit.
The DVD has no spoken word, just subtitles. I was dubious about this until I saw it: it really works! It uses a combination of video (incl slow-mo) and stills (sometimes annotated with helpful arrows), including overhead shots. These combine with the written instructions to break down each stage of perfecting a move. It's not the slickest or most professional production - but it is clear and simple to follow. Graphic Design Essentials:: Skills, Software and C&hellip by Joyce Walsh Macario
5.0 out of 5 stars Good for a beginner, 23 Jan 2012
One of my most useful buys as a beginner in graphic design and new to the Adobe Creative Suite. This book has been great for me. Clear overview of key concepts and ideas with loads of pictures of exampes. Helps a novice unpick what they are looking at an recognise all the decisions a designer has made.
Don't be put off by the plain cover - the inside couldn't be more different! Well produced and visually engaging.

3 Cup Double Walled Cafeti√ƒ∆'√'¬®re Plunger&hellip by Grunwerg

Looks fine but gauze of the plunger is quite coarse metal and makes an awful noise against the insides of the jug. Like chalk down a blackboard! I can't face this noise every morning so I am hoping to be able to return it for a refund.(I have a larger version bought elsewehre which looks the same but it has a plunger that is much smoother (possibly rubber/plastic gauze) and this works fine - assumed this little one would be the same).
