4.0 out of 5 stars Sushi kit, 5 April 2014
Useful and simple combination of wooden sushi mould, silicon moulds, bamboo rolling mat and knife for making sushi, ballantines, and compressed neat blocks eg granola to your own recipe or imagination.
Takes a trial attempt to get unwrapped rice (not using sushi nigri) to work.....tip is to use cling film instead and ensure sushi rice is not overcooked. Otherwise ensure wooden mould is dampened before use for easy release. Much easier than using bamboo mat alone (also included).
Given the price this is a very useful combination and is recommended. The DVD and recipe cards are a bit of overkill, presumably for the more simple minded American market.

This particular selection although cheaper per unit. does not merit 5 stars.....only 3 . The reason being that they are less attractive being all the same size (4inch with stopper) and less decorative with muted colours. They are supposed to be a random selection but clearly are all much the same. In addition the finish and fit of stoppers is less good so that they look like the cheap glass containers they in fact are. However as I use them as presents filled with my own… Read more
