As always this item arrived very fast indeed from Amazon :)

This is actually a very nice piece of hardware. Solidly built with a decent key action. The backlight has adjustable colours and brightness. It is a full size keyboard but has a small footprint. The wrist rest is detachable thankfully as it is of no use to me. The built in USB port is a very nice addition as it means pen drives, phones and media players can be connected without having to muck around with the ports at the back of your PC. And, very importantly, this keyboard is a UK, as opposed to US, keyboard.

I bought this as a holiday read, being unsure of the quality but with the view that I could take a forgiving attitude if it was truly mindless. Having read it, I'm nothing short of perplexed.

I was expecting lots of wild hypothesising about aliens and UFOs but instead was impressed with the level of historical detail that Jacobsen puts into the first half of her book covering the nuclear arms testing, cold war technology race and internecine power struggles between the USAF and CIA that she asserts went on at Area 51.
