The Little Paris Kitchen: Classic French recipes w&hellip by Rachel Khoo
Not quite a coffee table book. Bought this because of the word "Little" in the title. I have not seen the TV show that the book is based on, but real French kitchens are rarely masive farm house size and neither are kitchenettes in British flats. So as a book for cooking properly in an enclosed space, this seemed a godo idea. Actually, the recipes are not cut down versions and the book is written for real people. nicely presented and useful.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this, 24 Sep 2012
We spend a few weeks of every summer close by Sete on the Languedoc coast and it is impossible to appreciate the place without the music and lyrics and joyful anarchy of Brassens. Les Copains d'Abord has become the family anthem to sing along with the CD as we get close to Sete. Fortunately, the kids understanding of French is not quite cernacular enough to lead to awkward questions with some of the songs that are near the knuckle, but the tunes are infectious and the ballads give us adults food for thought. This set lives in our car when we go to the South.

Fun formula adventure from the hackneyed radio series. Enoyable. But sound levels are a problem. Music between scenes plays so much louder than the dialogue that you either have to play so quietly you can't hear the speaking or the noisy music irritates. A bit of tech tweaking by the BBC before release would not hurt.
