Child Sexual Abuse and the Catholic Church: Gender&hellip by Marie Keenan

Heavy stuff, an academic book, but language is clear, so well worth persevering. Research seems meticulous, both of the Irish scene and the international scene. The question is: Now we have some information, what are we going to do with it? and is anyone willing to finance further research to hear those voices that haven't yet been heard?
Heal Not Lightly by Harry Smith
Heal Not Lightly by Harry Smith
Great book about the possible spiritual effects of the historical covenants, both the Ulster Covenant (mainly) and also the 1916 covenant.
Harry Smith gives a calm and balanced viewpoint, and includes contemporary newspaper items, both recent and historical that portray the mindset of some people in Northern Ireland. His plea for prayers seems very apposite (and I'm a Catholic!)
A Gardener's Guide to 500 Fuchsias: Varieties for &hellip by John Nicholass
3.0 out of 5 stars Didn't like the layout, 20 Jan 2014
Disappointed that only half the fuchsias were illustrated, and yet there were two copies of many of the images.
I also found it irritating to have to keep going to the index to find a particular named variety.
The colour key at the back was somewhat helpful, though many other colours are used to describe fuchsias.
The information about each plant was adequate, but little was mentioned about the ideosyncracies of different varieties - for example the 'climbing propensity' of Lady Boothby.
