Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness medita&hellip by Jon Kabat-Zinn
4.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring, 25 Jun 2014
I would recommend this book for anyone who's feeling stressed and is prepared to commit a little regular time to meditating. It's not a beginnner's guide, more of an encouragement with suggestions about mindfulness. Worthy of 5 stars.

Hard to believe it was written in the 1920s as it's such a page-turner. 'Vera' is a darkly humorous tale that gets darker as it goes along. The story ending is unresolved, which may be unsatisfying for some readers, but I guess it's up to the reader to decide what they think Lucy's fate will be. When you've finished it, go back to the beginning of Chapter 2 and re-read the caption under the photograph - see if it doesn't send a chill down your spine!

Loved this novel! I really sympathised with the main character, Bea, even though she was a bit older than your usual heroine. The writing was intelligent (and funny too) but at the same time it was an easy read - in fact, I flew through it in a week, which is a record for me. Definitely a page-turner!
