I am a little tired of treating Blockbuster/summer movies in their own department and so for once, and this is to Dawn's credit, it can be treated with the respect of any other movie. So that granted..how does it stand up? Pretty well actually, almost as triumphant as Caesar beating his chest. There are some reservations but on the whole it is a very good film that not only follows quite clever patterns from the older movies but improves on Rise of the planet of the apes.
