I've got an advance copy of this album and have given it it 2 or 3 listenings so far.
My first impressions are that it isn't as strong as the previous albums overall, however it's still a lot better than most music out there and there are some great moments in there.
Trying to work out why I wasn't quite so impressed with this album I relistened to my personal favourite 'Ballad of the Broken Seas'. What I love about that album is the use of the two artist personalities Mark's growling apocolpytic cowboy and Isobel's lilting folk temptress are at their best when they have a dialogue together. I bought this camera on the strength of many good reviews and have to seriously wonder if I've got a faulty camera or if it's somehow different from those others used as the image quality is awful IMO.
This was intended to replace my Lumix FS7 - which took great quality pictures, really sharp and crisp most of the time. However, the FS7 got battered within a year of my active/demanding photography (Lense fitting loose and shutter not always opening). So decided on the TZ7 replacement as it had a bigger lense and more robust body and, I thought, the same image quality of my previous Lumix.
