5.0 out of 5 stars Truly Outstanding, 23 Mar 2014
I'll leave it to the professional reviewers to provide a blow-by-blow account of this film. All I can say from my humble perspective as a fan of The Clash is that this movie provides the consummate account of the band, touching upon all of the forces that made The Clash great and which ultimately led to its demise. Bernie Rhodes remains Public Enemy No. 1 but we are also made to understand that his involvement was as integral to the band's greatness as that of the primary musicians - Strummer/Jones/Simonon/Headon/Chimes - themselves.

I am truly appreciative that the movie examines the post-Mick Jones version of The Clash with more than simply a derisive nod and provides a forum… Read more
Life: Keith Richards by Keith Richards
Life: Keith Richards by Keith Richards
I'll admit to being slightly biased as a life-long fan of `Keef', Mick and the Stones. That said, I still believe that I am capable of commenting on Keith's autobiography objectively.

In a nutshell, I loved this book. At the outset, I'll concede that my hopes for the book weren't that high and that I began reading more out of curiosity, particularly due to some of the cynical press that followed the book's release. I agree with the other reviewers almost entirely. FIFA 10 for the PC is, for all intents and purposes, the exact same game as FIFA 09. There is nothing 'next gen' nor new about it. It's a rehash of last year's game with a few interface tweaks. I own an XBox 360 and an HDTV but when it comes to FIFA I've always remained partial to playing on the PC. My PC is certainly capable of handling anything thrown at it (Q6600 Core 2 Quad; GTX 260; 4 Gb Ram) but this game certainly wasn't designed with a half-way decent PC in mind. I guess it's time to break with my personal tradition. Avoid this game, at least the PC version.
