QUIMPER POTTERY A GUIDE TO ORIGINS ST: A Guide to &hellip by ADELA MEADOWS
This is a really useful book on the history and development of Quimper pottery. It shows a far wider range of Quimper styles than I had previously known. It also claims to give information on values. This is not achieved, nor did I really expect it to be. For this, a more modern book with examples of styles and prices would be required.
The Red Knight by Miles Cameron
The Red Knight by Miles Cameron
This book is a good example of the knights in armour and battles plus use of magic. When I finished it and looked up the details about the author, I saw he is a great exponent in re-enactment groups. This explains his knowledge of weapons and and how to use them . He also knows how to put armour on and how it feels. This adds to the authenticity of the fighting he describes so well.
I would recommend this book to anybody like me who enjoys "blood and thunder" tales.
I will buy the sequel when it is published.
