Genius. The best storyteller I have ever come across. I have watched this DVD ovestorytellers still double up at the Ben Affleck reference :)

I loved this, with a couple of reservations. The best thing is how he gets you to laugh at your ego, instead - as so much of the self important spiritual and personal development industry does - turn it into the enemy. By laughing at the ego Wilde disempowers it. It is a hilarious read, and encapsulates what spirituality should be about - removing the struggle from life and being powerful but in a light, easeful way. The exercises he suggests are brilliant, like "doing rain". - practises to increase your resistance to discomfort. So simple and so powerful.

I got this because I have no background in economics and the cover made it look like an accessible and stimulating intro to economics that would make it relevant for the layperson. Well, if questions like "Why are houses in the UK smaller than in the states and Australia?" stump you, then go ahead. If however you've already worked out the answer before he's finished asking the question then this will drive you as mad as it did me. Even content that could have been potentially a good basis for interesting discussion (like the fact that New York cabbies knock off early on rainy days) was dealt with in the same turgid and dry manner.
