Overnight Snow for Guitar & Flute ~ Nick Fletcher & John Hackett
Overnight Snow for Guitar & Flute ~ Nick Fletcher & John Hackett
5.0 out of 5 stars a true classic, 15 Mar 2014
This is a fine reading by John and Nick of some fine classics. Chanson de Matin is just gorgeous. I cant get enough. I routinely play all his "classic" albums" and have converted some of my friends. Sit in a garden - have a glass of wine with this on your cd / ipod whatever - relax and feel the magic. Then play Moonspinner , Velvet Afternoon ....And if you run out - theres always Steves cds to keep the mood going. Keep 'em coming John.

I went off Elton a few years ago having been repeatedly disappointed with the quality of his later albums. However, having read a few reviews here I gave the Diving Board listen and was very happy indeed. This is the Elton I loved - great melodies, the piano to the fore. This deluxe album is well worth the money and I highly recommend it for newcomers or older fans like me. This has been well described by others here so no need to go over it again , Just listen and enjoy - Reg still has it! MOC - DUBLIN

ok - so the later "classical" items beat this hand down, in particular, Hungarian Horizons but its still a gem and an absolute must for the fans. i'm so sorry i didnt get this ages ago - its just that the recording sounds patchy in places. still thank you Steve for all the magic . suggestion - sit out in the sun looking preferably over a garden in full bloom with a glass of white wine - actually make it a bottle - and play all the solos back to back starting with this. oh yeah....
