I am not a great fan of MIke's "song" output of the past, but this album has some fine songs on it and more importantly (for me anyway) lots of great guitar work - I've always been a huge fan of Mike's guitar style and this collection has lots of it. A great return!

So you're in a hotel room, miles from anywhere, a long way from home, and it is typically despressing.... then you put on this wonderfully ambient music by Brian Eno and somehow, I can't explain why, you are at home again. That's how it works for me.... it just works.

Well well well, after all these years the original or first Iznogoud book has been translated into English - what a joy! All 8 of the existing Iznogoud editions published already by Cinebook have been translated before although prior to the Cinebook releases were very rare and jolly expensive via Ebay or elsewhere. Only lunatics like me would fork out silly sums of money to get them. However this book has (as far as I know) never been translated before. It is the first book from the original series. It consists of a set of smaller stories - which was the usual format during this era, and seemed to suit Iznogoud better than the long spiralling and jolly complicated stories that came… Read more
