Maria Daines is an exemplary vocalist and Paul Killington is a multi-faceted musician. They fuse rock, blues, country and ballads to make exceptional CDS. "Faith, Hope and Sanctuary" is a wonderful recording. Maria Daines poignant, riveting, tender and emotive vocals wondrously resonate throughout this entire CD. At his best Paul Killingdon's guitar work is very refined in a manner akin to the iconic Brian May. Every song on this CD is admirable and dedicated to dogs and the humane treatment of all animals. Highlights include the dynamic "Laika" the melodic and addictive "Stray", the yearning and tender "Where Do All The Angels Go" and two great protest anthems "Not Guilty" and "Sad Crazy… Read more
"Life Somewhere Else" is the second amazing CD release by Steve Kilbey(magnificent "The Church" frontman) and the exquisitely musically talented Jeffrey Cain. Kilbey writes the lyrics and Cain composes the music Their vocals and music are mesmerizing, otherworldly and gloriously mellow. The eclectic moods of the tunes are somber, reflective, spiritual, emotive, detached and personal. Steve Kilbey has many sterling solo albums and side projects but none compare to Isidore. Atmospheric soundscapes blend with refined vocals to create ethereal and alluring songs. The Church and Isidore are probably the only two bands that are in the same musical genre and pantheon as the early 1970's Pink Floyd… Read more
