Cabstone 95041-GB Soundbar Speaker - Black by Cabstone
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 22 Mar 2014
Brilliant bit of kit this is, made one hell of a difference to the sound quality of our little 16" bedroom tv. Connect the usb lead to the tv and it switches on and off with the tv .. excellent.

1.0 out of 5 stars very disappointed, 22 Mar 2014
Ordered this tv for a bedroom and they sent a Cello 16115F which after a very short period of time simply refused to change channel and the screen went opaque, the only way to get it going again was to switch it off and on again at the mains plug.
Sent it back to supplier who sent a new one as replacement, but have yet to see if the same problem occurs with this one.
Yes the sound is very tiny and poor and the picture quality degrades very sharply as you move away from the central vision.

5.0 out of 5 stars I remember those years, 18 Feb 2014
My word.. this book did bring back some memories of my apprenticeship years with Shell Tankers.

My apprenticeship started in 1959 when I had eighteen months at sea before going to Plymouth for six months, our group were only the second bunch to attend Plymouth tec and we were billeted at Merrifield hall of residence, can't remember the name of the road where it was.
Those early days at college were an awful lot easier than what Simon appears to have experienced and we had far more spare time to frequent the bars and coffee shops and, of course, making friends with the local girls.

Excellent reading, fully recommend it to any ex Shell tanker men of that era… Read more
