Fall of Cybertron is the sequel to the well-received War For Cybertron. Developers High Moon Studio have decided for the most part to play it safe here, keeping the base gameplay but making small but significant improvements, while trimming the fat off the last game.

Before I go into details, I'd like to point out that while FOC is one of those rare tie-in games that are actually good, the faithful treatment of the license is not such a big deal for me. I have to admit something here; I am not much of a Transformers fan: my knowledge of the Transformers universe is limited to the Michael Bay movies, so I pretty much know nothing. I'm beginning to see a pattern regarding the release of Okami games. Okami, and now Okamiden, were released during the dying moments of their respective platforms, destined for modest commercial success. Its as if its creators, Capcom, have conceded that the series will be forever labelled a cult classic, met with high critical acclaim that sadly isn't reflected in the sales figures. The fact that the dwindling limelight on the
stage of the DS is currently being hogged by the latest additions to the almighty Pokemon series, only adds insult to injury.
