GSkill Ripjaws Z Series 1866 CL 9.0 16GB Memory Ki&hellip by G-Skill
The highest speed RAM supported by the ASUS X79 Sabertooth motherboard is 1866MHz, which matches this RAM kit. This gives you 16GB in about as fast a configuration as you can manage on that motherboard. It's a good combination, especially when you are running an IvyBridge E CPU.

This is a six-core, hyper-threaded (effectively 12 core) CPU with quad-channel RAM, and double the PCIe lanes over the more common main-stream CPUs (such as the Haswell i7 4770K. It's a bit more expensive, but for some applications, this is a much better choice.

I prefer an E CPU for things like Photoshop, because having double the RAM bandwidth lets you manipulate ultra-large images (lots of layers) more readily. Quad channel RAM means you can get a 16GB configuration using 4GB DIMMs, which run at faster cycle times than 8GB DIMMs. An 8 DIMM motherboard can hold 32GB using 4GB DIMMs. Moreover, if you use 8GB DIMMs, you can get 64GB - something that's not possible with a… Read more

Crysis, for example, is a series where you do see the main characters following through the series, but there's no connection between the games. In Mass Effect your actions in the first game can affect your outcome in the third game - you export your characters after finished the first game, and import it into the second, and then from the second into the third. Makes it much more involving, and allows more replay.

One tip, though - the first game appears not to work with video adapters that have 2GB or more of RAM. If you want to play it, make sure you do so on a machine with a video… Read more
