Have been a fan of Joan Wyndham for years having read her previous diaries. This is a lovely memoir of her childhood and family background told with her usual zeal.

I've only started reading this book but I can tell it is going to be a thrilling read right up until the end page. The entire book is gorgeous, it would make a great present based on its appearance alone. The story of Sheila has been expertly crafted by the author. If you treat yourself to a bio make sure it's this one!

5.0 out of 5 stars A camp classic!!, 19 Nov 2013
From the intro paragraph 'Curtains' is an addictive read. I love the bitchy world of Raven's Towers (think The Devil Wears Prada meets Dynasty) and the bitch of a boss, Vicky Cochrane and her long-suffering husband Max (a sort of Maggie T and Denis). I could go on and on but I am saving a detailed review for my blog!! I love this book.
