I rented this series primarily as I am studying French and saw good reviews on it. It took me a while to actually start watching it but once I started I had to watch the whole series in a day as it was so gripping and intriguing, violent yes but well within context of what was happening. One of those rare series that has a plot, engaging characters and lots if twists to it. One thing it definitely doesn't do is glamourise Paris! Can't say it did a whole lot for my french as the characters talk so fast... But definitely worth watching, just be prepared to be hooked. Now for series deux et trois :)

Great songs on here, remind me of my 80's days in so many ways! Good to hear some lesser played songs too, such as Dance Stance and Breaking Down The Walls... My only quibble (and it is a minor quibble) is why the "cut down" version of Come On Eileen is on here rather than the full version with the proper intro - its only another 30 seconds! Other than that... a bargain :)

This is one of those shows that you remember as being much better than it actually is... Which is not to say it's not funny, because it is, but there are many moments when you think... what? But then being disjointed and anarchic was it's point really.
