Ok so my memory of watching these episodes as a 15 year old may have become rose tinted some 30 years later but there are few truly 'spooky' moments. I have recently watched the first instalement of 'Shadows' which is some 7 years older but much more 'spooky' - so it's not my current age! ;o)

It was ok, but some episodes were very poorly executed to be honest. If you want something a little darker for children I recomend Shadows Series 1 (Series 2 is awful) Children of the Stones and King of the Castle.

A splendid read. I came across the author totally by chance and thought I would dip my toe in the water, i wasn't disappointed.

For a first novel this is very mature. The opening chapter had me hook, line and sinker.

Iain banks may have a successor in Mr Quartley...

A fairly enjoyable read but I would recommend Andy Taylors book over this one as it's generally a collection of old quotes and magazine stories. Would probably appeal more to a newer fan as us oldies lived through it the first time and recall most of it.

I think it shows what can happen when you dilute something good a little too much, the essence of the band is all in the book inluding how one of thier best songs 'Girls on film' was actually written by a former band member who was subsequently paid off and told to zip it.

Worth a read.
