I have very fond memories of this adaptation of one of my favourite childrens books. I used to look forward to watching the series on a Sunday evening. I know that some of scenes have been cut out and I too would have loved to have seen more dancing and theatre scenes but all in all I much prefer this version to the new version starring Emma Watson. I wanted to enjoy the new version but found that some of my favourite characters were missing and the added romance between Mr Simpson and Garnie was just plain ridiculous. What can I say that hasn't been said already - this album is absoluately fantastic.

Craig Chalmers is a brilliant new talent and his singing on the Dream on album is effortless and full of emotion and passion. I especially love his version of Close every door and This is the moment. The other Joseph boys are also excellent. The harmonies they produce are first class and when they duet with Craig (Chris C on My Girl, Seamus on Sorrow and Lewis on All I have to do is dream) the sound quality is amazing.

I found this album disappointing. I think I prefer to see Lee in person singing as he is a great actor and puts alot of expression into his face and movement when he sings. However, listening to the album - I am not sure that his voice always holds up vocally - sometimes it can sound rasping and strangulated.

I was pleased to see a track written by Gary Barlow and I feel that this song carries the album as Gary is a a terrific songwriter and a brilliant vocalist.

I am sure Lee will go on to bigger and better things in the Westend - Joseph is just a way of getting him established.

I am not sure that this album will appeal to everyone but probably best to… Read more
