5.0 out of 5 stars Rattling good yarn, 28 Sep 2013
In the interests of transparency, I have played darts with the author in the Royal Beacon Hotel and I've walked dogs with the chap who did the cover. Now that's out of the way, I can genuinely say this book was a great pleasure to read. It's a page-turner- well staged and with an involved but never over-fussy plot. The story plays out against a backdrop of the social and political themes of 80s life and this is ingeniously drawn out with some subtle touches, e.g. t-shirt choices. Descriptions are excellent- I recall a particular house being compared to a gold filling in a row of teeth. The characters are believable and the inner lives of the coppers are handled particularly well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Novelty ios leads- but what fine leads they are., 1 July 2013
These are pretty good for the price and the free stylus is handy for certain apps. Seem stable, though one of mine is a little tight. No problems either syncing or charging. Fettucini innum.
Koziol Rio Red Cutlery Tray by Koziol

This is one of the few such trays that actually fit into our cutlery drawer. Now that's a boon. It has a pleasingly kitch appearance, just on the right side of 'dinner lady'. It seems robust and well constructed, and is still going strong after a couple of months. Who are Koziol? I've no idea. But their cutlery tray elicits faint sighs of joy every time the drawer is opened.
