I recently re-read The Secret and found I enjoyed it just as much the second time around. It's an unusual mix of murder mystery and romance (with plenty of descriptions of delicious-sounding meals thrown in), and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, but particularly at the shocking end of Chapter 1! Fran, the main character, is an appealing protagonist, all the more so (to my mind), because she really, really seems to enjoy her food - I did wonder at one point how she manages to remain so slim! Unlike some of the other reviewers, I didn't guess the identity of the murderer until the very end - in fact, I'd pinned it on the wrong character entirely.
