Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 1 [Blu-ray&hellip Blu-ray ~ Patrick Stewart

I bought this product about a month ago and am really impressed by the quality of the transformation in picture quality and the brilliant sound reproduction. This must have been a real labour of love for all involved and the amount of work in making the changes must have been enormous. It's true of course that the first few episodes are a little clunky. The dialogue is a little tentative and the acting a little wooden while the main scriptwriters and actors found their feet. However, these issues become appreciably better during the course of the series and from memory, there are further improvements in the second and third series as everyone gains in confidence.

However, after about 15 months the connections started playing up. Firstly the mains connection at the back would cut out. This could be rectified at least temporarily by disconnecting and reconnecting, though this happened with increasing frequency. Finally the docking mechanism itself periodically would not work.
In spite of careful handling, the product is in my view of poor standard and although not hugely expensive, it should work more effectively over a longer period than this. I will not be buying another Bose product and would… Read more
