I have been training in gyms for the last 17 years. For many of those years I have been a cardio junkie and shyed away from what I term the black-matted areas - predominantly filled with grunting, testosterone-laden weight hogs, many of whom looked at women who dared step on 'their' turf with disdain. That was until I discovered a body-building gym where the female gym instructor who showed me around was not only the same weight as me, but sadly (for me) she was 3 dress sizes SMALLER than me...muscle weighs heavier than fat....and no, you are NOT going to suddenly bulk up just because you join the iron sisterhood and start lifting weights! What can I say? It's a book that thousands of women will be able to relate to in some form or another. The crucial thing is that it is a book about honesty - honesty to yourself. It is all well and good making up a zillion and one excuses about why you have put on the weight and how you've tried all sorts of diets and weight-loss regimes and they haven't worked - but the bottom line is "Have you been really, truly honest with yourself?" If you have been brutally honest, the chances are you've cheated from the diet or have just been plain lazy and finding any excuse to blame it on!

A girlfriend gave me the book as a present - in the hope that we would be diet buddies together… Read more
The Crystal Ally Cards: The Crystal Path to Self K&hellip by Naisha Ahsian

I first came across these cards and book in a crystal shop. The messages helped me look deeper within to seek self understanding. I finally bought the book and cards to have for myself and devoured the first few chapters of the book to try and understand how to use the cards for meditation. The cards are a wonderful source of energy and can be used with crystals or alone. It is not a book to be used to identify crystals like The Crystal Bible, instead it is an amazing tool to help you improve self knowledge - as the author entitles the book. Open your heart and mind and allow the path to self knowledge to be shown to you. An inspirational and enlightening book!
