If everyone read this book the world would probably be a better place. We are shown that people on death row in the US are not the sub-human monsters we assume them to be. Most are average people whose lives have gone horrifically wrong at some point.

The writings in Welcome to Hell are gripping, at times funny, at times devastatingly sad. I found the book a huge inspiration. I think what I most took from this book is that even if you assume everyone on death row is actually guilty of the crimes for which they are convicted (which is a big if, looking at the statistics of overturned sentences), they still do not deserve to be put to death. Light & Hearty: From Pad Thai to Cassoulet, Health&hellip by Jeanne Jones

I am rather disappointed in this book. I thought it would contain healthy, original recipes, but instead I find most of them unimaginative and bland.

A lot of the ingredients are low-fat options of high-fat foods, which to me defeats the purpose of healthy cooking, as high-fat food gets its flavour from the fat - take the fat away, not much worth eating is left.

The only recipes worthwhile, I thought, are the Thai recipes as these contain naturally low fat ingredients rather than artificial foodstuffs.

Do yourself a favour, and just buy a Thai cookbook.

I am delighted with this book. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. The author offers a lot of background information, and also lists substitutes for some of the harder-to-find ingredients.

The pictures of the dishes are beautiful, and most importantly the food is gorgeous!

I highly recommend this book to anyone.
