5.0 out of 5 stars LOVELY FILM!, 28 Aug 2013
I saw this film in the sixties and was so impressed! I was at college at the time, and it inspired me to take up movie-making. I have to admit that a few rather similar shots crept into my own films!
Some DVDs of this period inevitably seem a bit dated; not Sundays and Cybele. It is so sensitive, and at the same time wonderfully acted by all concerned.

I cannot recommend it highly enough!!

5.0 out of 5 stars At Last!, 8 Aug 2013
A great CD of one of my very favourite scores! I bought the LP back in 'the dark ages',sold it among many others during my 'conversion' to CDs, and have regretted it ever since! For such an old soundtrack, the sound is great, and that's putting it mildly!
It's a super score, one of the best, and to have it on this CD is a dream come true!

5.0 out of 5 stars A little gem, 6 May 2013
I have waited for years for this to appear on DVD. It is a little gem. With lovely performances by Sarah Miles (did this lead to her part in Ryan's Daughter?) and especially Cyril Cusak, I cannot understand why such a superb little film, made on this side of the Atlantic, should have been so unjustly neglected.

The photography is so atmospheric, and the music, by John Addison, ideal. It is a lovely film that has been in my mind for decades.

Would it be too much to ask why it has not been released on this side of the Atlantic? Perhaps now, to make amends, it might appear on Blu-ray!!!
