5.0 out of 5 stars BUY THIS BOOK!, 28 Feb 2009
Being owned and trained by my own three Bull Terriers I was curious to see what was written in this book, especially with the fabulous photo on the front cover! Was I disappointed? No I was not! Here in black and white was a book I could relate to! Being a Canine Behaviourist myself I found it refreshing to know another dog trainer was out there who loved and owned Bullies as much as I do, she even gets them to win agility and competes at top level! Well, I have to say I heartily recommend this book, its well laid out, well written, easy to learn from and Jane Killion uses many techniques and methods that I use and approve of including clicker training. What a star! Buy this book,I… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Behaviour in pictures, 24 Feb 2009
As a canine behaviourist I am often asked which books I recommend for clients. The honest answer was in fact, very few. There is a plethora of training guides, books and manuals on the market which mostly seem to confuse most dog owners! Now there are many I recommend, this is one book of them, I just ignore the stuff where it says 'pack leader'! It is laid out in a simple yet effective manner enabling the reader to see exactly what behaviour is being shown and the explantions Brenda makes are easily understood. I actively encourage owners and clients to learn their canine friends language to reach a better level of understanding of their dog; this book is a valuable tool for that learning.
