Gillian Linscott is a writer of vivid and gripping mysteries as shown in her previous two historically set detective series. This 'one-off' book is no exception and is enhanced by the author's great knowledge of gardens and gardening. It is the garden itself that holds a secret that has shaped the lives of two families - rich mine owners and a poor mining family- in the turbulent years of the early twentieth century. This book will certainly appeal to all lovers of mysteries and gardens.
