As an avid Ian Rankin fan, I had advance ordered this, and couldn't wait for it to arrive. Not having read a play since 'The Scottish one' at school (which wasn't yesterday!) it took a bit of getting into, but with some perserverence, I really enjoyed it. Story telling at its best from my favourite author, but if it comes out on audiobook, I would choose that over the hardback.
Great value for money, and does the job brilliantly with 2 adult bikes. Would have given 5 stars, had it not taken us 3 hours to work out how to fit the straps, although maybe that says more about us, than the carrier!
The Silkworm (Cormoran Strike Book 2) by Robert Galbraith
5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down..., 10 July 2014
Like Rebus and Clark, Cormoran and Robin make a likeable partnership, but unlike the former, one you feel quickly on first name terms with. As a Rebus fan, I'm afraid I can't help drawing comparisons (even though the very tenuous connection is Edinburgh/Crime), but this series seems less gritty, yet more colourful, in its depictions of equally gruesome goings-on. I think both will sit comfortably side by side on the bookshelf of any crime fiction fan.
