The Motown 7s Box Set: Rare And Unused [VINYL] ~ Various
5.0 out of 5 stars Motown 7's Box, 30 Jan 2014
I saw this set of records in Record Collector magazine and found it on Amazon. I waited a couple of days and the price came down from over 66 to just under 31, so I ordered it. I was highly delighted to receive my records. All are present and correct and all play perfectly. I also ordered a set for my friend, but his set has one single (Marvin Gaye/Spinners) missing and one duplicated (Barbara McNair/David Ruffin), which seems to be a common problem.
Secret Symphony Bonus Edition ~ Katie Melua
"Secret Symphony" is a fine album from Katie Melua. Her performance and material are excellent. Songs include "Gold In Them Hills" by Canadian singer/songwriter Ron Sexsmith, "Better than A Dream" and The Bit That I Don't Get". It's a very relaxing album, but just when you've settled down to listen, you suddenly hit a change of tempo on Track 4, "Moonshine". More relxaing fare follows, but we go uptempo again on Track 9, "Heartstrings" Among the 15 tracks on offer you will find a cover of Francoise Hardy's "All Over The World" and another cover of a much older song "Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out". True Blue: the Very Best of 25 Years Anniversary ~ John Williamson

43 tracks make up John Williamson's True Blue album. They vary from the tearjerking "Wrinkles" to the comedy of "Old Man Emu" and "I'm Fair Dinkum". There is a "live" section included on Disc 1 including the version of "Waltzing Matilda" known as the "Queensland Version". Some of my other favourites include "This Is Australia Calling", "Diggers Of The ANZAC" "Boomerang Cafe" and "I'm In The Mood". The tracks are sequenced so that no two tracks are the same, so it will hold your interest time after time. Enjoy!
