5.0 out of 5 stars Valuable insights, 2 Feb 2013
Nothing should be taken as gospel, and this book has proved insightful and passionate. It opened me to the expression of behaviours that I found frustrating when expressed by others and understanding the reasons for them, and from there a means to demonstrate knowledge of them. It has made my life better for reading it, and it is worth your time as part of a course of study into any aspect of male behaviour, either in theory or in practice.
Zombie Spaceship Wasteland by Patton Oswalt
Zombie Spaceship Wasteland by Patton Oswalt
It is funny, draws genuine romance and nostalgia from a frustrated adolescence using the languages and rituals of the time, and in turn mined for insight from across the years by a writer who makes it all look so easy. This needs to be in colleges and held up as an example of how to move from the sacred to the profane, often in the same story and delivered with joy and humour.
Absent Fathers, Lost Sons: The Search for Masculin&hellip by Guy Corneau
The translation is impeccable and through the use of examples and case studies, presents not only the problems that inadequate, absent or overbearing fathers cause but the solutions to integrate them on the path to a mature, creative and compassionate masculine maturity.
