Bought one of these for the first child, was always concerned by the inability of the parent handle ot overcome the 2 year olds attempt to steer it, as a previous reviewer said, it is soft and hard to engage. This worsened to the point that the guide wires attaching the parent handle to the steeting mechanism slipped off the pulley. Disassembled the whole bike to fix it but it keeps coming off again. Ditched the bike, as it was useless, since he was unable to steer anywhere sensible (lol).

Got given one for 2nd child, built it and the parent handle already didn't work, would only steer one way, attempt to turn the other way resulted in instant inability to steer bike at all… Read more

I have been looking for this game everywhere, and it was so simple, I often thought about making my own version when I had kids, as my own well loved copy got lost somewhere (when my parent's ripped up their carpets to get slate flooring they found a green window piece from it, and it was easily recognisable). But my clever mum fpound it on Amazon and had it delivered to my Aunt's house to bring when she fcame for my sister's wedding (because Amazon won't deliver to Australia, slackers!! HINT HINT Amazon!) A brief tale, but written with (ahem) Morgenstern's archetypal wit and wry beauty, prior reveiwers have told the tale, I can only ad, find a copy, buy it, read it, love it. Might as well, looks like we're never gonna see "Buttercup's Baby", are we "Simon?"
