Rumours ~ Fleetwood Mac
Rumours ~ Fleetwood Mac
5.0 out of 5 stars Hello Again., 19 Aug 2014
Rumours, what can I write about this? Most of the songs are instantly recognisable, some bits are so familiar you might swear Fleetwood Mac nicked the riff from somewhere else.

Rumours is an album of it's time, featuring a band at it's peak and has become a classic.

You might have worn your old copy out, you might never have owned it before, but whatever reason you buy this album for you will soon appreciate it for what it is.

A true classic.
One Of These Nights ~ Eagles
5.0 out of 5 stars Timeless., 19 Aug 2014
Another old Eagles album I have had for years. This replaces the original vinyl with the embossed sleeve. After all these years the music is still fresh and the years have not changed my perceptions of the songs. Even with titles like Chug all Night!

To my mind this is the mark of a great album. But I guess when it comes tot the Eagles I am a bit biased.
What Have We Become ~ Paul Heaton
What Have We Become ~ Paul Heaton

This is Heaton and Abbot at their best. Their voices are still great and so very distinct. Heaton could be no one else. Not a bad song on this album.

I should say, I have followed Paul Heaton from the Housemartin days to now and I have always admired his talent. Jacqui Abbot is the perfect partner to Heaton and their blend of style and voices have always impressed me.

So for me it is simply more of a good thing. If you feel the same way about these two you will love this. If not, give it a punt anyway, you might be surprised.
