Elven Jewel (Hunters of Reloria) by Kasper Beaumont
What a wonderful beginning to what is surely set to become one of the best trilogies in children's fantasy fiction. When I say 'children', I would recommend this book for age 12+ readers.
Kasper Beaumont has created a fantastical world with the halfling friends Randir and Fendi transitioning from boys to men whilst under threat from the hideous and ruthless Vargai.
Tranquil and lovely Reloria becomes a battleground in Kasper Beaumont's rich tale of friendship, honour and love.
Magical and fantastical creatures abound with Winged horses and Dragons aside the peoples of the land, Elves, Dwarves and Goblins, to name only a few.

Zodiacts: A Whimsical Introduction to Celestial Be&hellip by Donna McGarry
Zodiacs, a whimsical introduction to celestial beings by Donna McGarry is an absolute gem of a book.
I read this on ipad with my five year old nephew expecting to teach him a little about the astrological symbols. What I didn't expect was it to be so much fun!!! We really got into the rhyming adventure with its 'whimsical' nature and the witty wordplay, not to mention the chatting and speculation that was generated by the amazing illustrations. I will definitely be downloading the other books in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A historical must read!, 10 July 2014
This historical portrayal of a woman's struggle kept me riveted as the story unfolded. Lisa Brown has clearly researched her subject very well as the descriptions lent an authenticity to her novel that made me feel as though I was actually experiencing life during the early nineteen hundreds. My interest was captured and held throughout this well written piece and I look forward to reading more from Lisa Brown. I would recommend to all lovers of historical works.
