Cherub Clip-On Ukulele Tuner by Cherub

This was the first clip on tuner I ever had. Whilst it does its job reasonably enough, the world of clip on tuners has moved on and there are better options out there.

The way the lights work mean that you cannot tune as super accurate as you can with a needle type display. The unit is also very chunky compared to other tuners today. It's also a bit limiting as because its set up to work with four strings, if you wanted to try a different tuning, it will struggle. The tuner I currently use can be switched to chromatic and therefore pick up any note I want on any string.

It's a short tale, no escaping that, but since we have the obvious Moby Dick comparisons, now about a nod to Hemingways Old Man And The Sea which is an equally short story but immensely enjoyable (I was introduced to that by an aunt when very young, and recommended to my kids also)

5.0 out of 5 stars Staggeringly mature, 6 Nov 2011
I had this recommended to me by a friend who knows his music.

This album blew me away. When I learned how young Laura is I nearly fainted. This record shows songwriting and vocal phrasing of such maturity it really is staggering it has come from someone so young.

Think Joni Mitchell with Janis Ian, with Sandy Denny and a drop of Rufus Wainwright.

Gorgeous album which seems to be permanently on in our house now
