The Battle of the Lys 1918: Givenchy and the River&hellip by Phil Tomaselli
I wonder why the author did not cover the immediate aftermath, i.e May 1918, and the final stages of the battle when the British army recovered the lost ground and advanced further into German-held territory during the late Summer and the Autumn of that year (the famous last 100 days). I lost a great-uncle in early May 1918 at Pacot Wood (buried at Lapugnoy military cemetery) that formed part of the western edge of the ultimate British defence line during the battle of the Lys.
