Rock of Ages (DVD + UV Copy) DVD ~ Tom Cruise
Rock of Ages (DVD + UV Copy) DVD ~ Tom Cruise
5.0 out of 5 stars CRUISE CONTROL !, 27 Feb 2014
Tom Cruise is nothing short of BRILLIANT in this role. He plays Stacey Jaxx with a great mixture of pathos, humour and sleaze. He is so believable as a rock god, I would actually buy a ticket for one his concerts !. His sexy redition of 'Sugar Me' has to be seen to be believed ! Loved all the support in the form of CZJ , Brand, Baldwin etc, but really its Toms role that holds it all together. To think he is 50 plus and can still pull this role off is even more remarkable ! Well worth a watch for plenty of giggles, laugh out moments, catchy tunes, and pure escapism.
Cary Grant: The Wizard of Beverly Grove by Bill Royce
I have always been a fan of Cary Grant and have read several books written about him. This is not only the best book written about him , it is one of the best books I have EVER read ! Bill Royce had done a remarkable job of recounting his amazing friendship with the screen idol. In doing so, life's true meanings are revealed in a truly inspirational way. His philosophy seems to be summed up in chapter 9 " only when we give,do we truly… Read more
Me and a Guy Named Elvis: My Lifelong Friendship w&hellip by Jerry Schilling
1.0 out of 5 stars One Big Yawn, 13 Feb 2013
This is one of the worst books I have ever read about Elvis. Jerry comes across as a nice guy who does not want to cause any offence, but in doing so the stories are disjointed and well plain boring ! His recollections of Pricilla reek especially of being economical with the truth. Avoid this book at all costs !
