For every Liza Minnelli, there are dozens of children of singers who just don't make the grade. This definitely isn't the case here.
Clearly as a male, Jason wasn't going to sound like his mother, Barbra Streisand. Yet his genetic make-up shows. The subtly of his tone, the superb phrasing and the genuine feeling you hear in his voice. The power is there and he can only get better and better.
Compare him to male singers around at the moment, and with a few exceptions, it is like comparing a fine wine with fizzy pop. Each song is there to be enjoyed and remembered.
My only wish is that this was a full album and that he had released material years ago.

5.0 out of 5 stars About time !, 7 July 2009
Like the main character, Rory as played by James McAvoy, my son also has Duchenne muscular dystrophy. McAvoy captures this disability accurately and we(my son and I) knew what the majority of the audience didn't that it's a life-limiting illness. Every time Rory goes out in the rain you see him look up wondering if this time he'll pay the price for getting soaking wet. The subtle addition of his medication at his bedside towards the end of the film hints there is something seriously wrong. My son and I laughed at the carers portrayed because in real life we've met all those shown!
This is a brilliant film and deserves more credit than its given.
