Let Me Tell You Baby Its Called Rock n Roll, is yet another spin off album that has been made by an independent record label trying to cash in on the fact that Cliff's early recordings aren't the product of EMI anymore. Cliff Richard has allowed his early recordings to be used endlessly on loads of unnecessary albums and I have suggested many times that Cliff does something to preserve his early recordings. It can be done, despite people thinking that Cliff is completely helpless here. These songs need protecting, because otherwise there will be thousands of unnecessary recordings lining the shelves of Amazon and other outlets. For some reason publishing companies are getting all silly with Cliff Richard releases; now that one by one Cliff's records are coming out of copyright. If I was Sir Cliff Richard I would buy all of his records and patent them to stop all of this rediculous nonsense from taking place.

OK so the original songs which were digitally re-mastered and given a new lease of life, but there was absolutely no need to have Cliff's early singles all cramped onto the album as well. A complete waste of time, as most Cliff fans will have those songs already on… Read more

I agree with EMI making this album, as it was long overdue. There is unfortuately too many surperb B Sides which are missing and do hold a high place in Cliff premier song club.

Lindsay Jane & Wide Open Space are the two which are in a different league to all his other B Sides. These two songs could have easily have been singles in their own right.

I know the thinking behind this album. The people who made it thought that it was a good idea to forget songs like We Say Yeah, Dancing Shoes, In A Matter of Moments for example and give us the songs which no one can remember and to which only the slim manority of fans might have kept on their old 45s.

EMI do need… Read more
