5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this..., 7 May 2014
Loved Tim O'Brien's 'Letter In The Mail' - is both beautiful and pogniant, and Aoife O'Donovan's big track 'Oh Mama' is outstanding!Julie Fowlis is also in great form here with her glorious "Celebrate The Big bonnet" Gaelic song, and with Gerry Douglas's opening with 'Gone to Fortingall' ...just bril! Keep 'em coming!

Think it takes some courage to write in the first person as someone suffering from a mental illness,,, when one isn't... a hefty responsibility! Unfortunately, this novel, for me, did not pan-out at all: in terms of the story line, character development or prose. A missed opportunity. Although a work of fiction, as written by a mental health nurse, one would have expected a validity of content and context. .. these appeared to be missing and/or fatally flawed. It is fiction.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning!, 28 Nov 2013
This is a visual and listening feast! This latest film backdrop is really brilliant... Loch Lomond in winter frames the artists wonderfully. Enjoyed Mary Chapin Carpenter in this series and Dan Thompson in particular- he is a joy to watch and to hear - what a bass! Listening wise Teddy Thompson and Tim O'Brien are outstanding, and Julie Fowlis just gets better and better. Marvellous entertainment... will watch over and over... and have already! "Roll-on series 7."
