I spent last night poring over this book with my friends, male and female, looking up the various scents we have proudly worn then laughing and reminiscing while reading out the dead-on reviews. E.g. Poison 'The fragrance that everybody loves to hate...a must for every collector but please don't wear it to dinner'! It's warm, witty and wise - unlike anything else I have read on the subject.

What to make of these guys? If Jarvis Cocker remade Twin Peaks then this might end up as the soundtrack (assuming of course that Jarvis was too busy making his directorial debut).

They evoke the monster hiding behind raylon curtains. And the uncomfortable ideas that we don't admit to ourselves let alone write a song about. I presume this is where the name of the album comes in.

My favourite track is 'Couldn't Get Off' mainly because it reminds me of Banarama/Fun Boy Three's 'It aint what you do (It's the way that you do it).

Overall a catchy and intriguing debut album by a unique band.
